Roofing and HVAC photo documentation
Roofing and HVAC work disappears once it is done: the decking goes under shingles and the coil goes back behind the panel. Photos are the record. Here is a shot list for each trade and how JobProof keeps it together.
Roofing shot list
- Before: each roof slope from the ground, then close-ups of damage, flashing, vents and valleys.
- During: exposed decking and any replaced boards, underlayment and ice-and-water shield, flashing before it is covered.
- After: each slope from the same spots as the before shots, ridge and vents, gutters, and the cleaned-up yard.
HVAC shot list
- Before: data plates on the old equipment, filter and coil condition, line set, condensate drain, thermostat.
- During: anything that gets covered: the cleaned coil, electrical connections, refrigerant work.
- After: new equipment data plates, the installed unit from the same angle as before, thermostat after setup.

Questions
Will insurers or courts accept these photos?
We don't claim that. JobProof keeps each photo with the time and who took it and exports a PDF proof pack. Whether that is enough for a claim or a dispute depends on who is reviewing it.
Can subs shoot without an account?
Yes. Anyone with the job's camera link can shoot from the phone browser without logging in. Solo covers up to 3 field seats; Crew has unlimited field seats (fair use).
How many photos fit on one job?
Up to 60 per job, sorted into before, during and after.
Can the homeowner pay from the proof link?
Yes. The proof link can collect a deposit and the balance through Stripe.
